St. Francis’ held its first in-church service since the beginning of the pandemic on Pentecost Sunday. Following guidelines from the diocese and the San Francisco Department of Public Health, masks, health surveys, and social distancing outside of household groups were required. The church was divided into sides for vaccinated and unvaccinated parishioners, and we used individual, sealed containers for the Eucharist. A Zoom service followed the in-church service, after which many parishioners came out for a socially-distanced get together in the courtyard.
