Choir

The Choir at St. Francis is an integral part of the worship service.  The hymns, service music and Psalms are geared to encourage congregational participation.   In addition to this music, the choir performs Offertory and Communion anthems that reflect the appointed scripture readings.  We sing a wide variety of styles that include classical, folk, gospel, and blues.  The music can be a cappella, or accompanied by organ or piano.  Instrumentalists are hired for special occasions like Christmas Eve and Easter.

The choir sings from early September through Pentecost and then breaks for the summer.  Rehearsals are on Thursday from 7:00 – 8:30pm.  The choir consists of dedicated volunteers and enjoys meeting weekly to rehearse beautiful music that enriches the worship service.  Anyone with any musical training interested in singing in the choir, please contact the church office.
