Many thanks!
We’ve met and exceeded our goals for multiple outreach projects at De Montfort House for veterans.
On Christmas Eve, we delivered two honey baked Hams and turkey, plus many delicious side dishes and three pies to the residents at De Montfort House. So many St. Francis’ chefs made this possible. We were also able to give gift bags for the residents for Christmas Day. Those pillowcase bags included Target gift cards, face masks, hand sanitizer (thanks generous donor), candy, and more snacks and treats.
Because donations were so generous, we were also able to gift the house with additional gift cards to hold in reserve for future needs.
In this difficult year of over stretched budgets, the generosity of St. Francis’ parishioners was exemplary. Blessings to all.
St Francis’ Episcopal also had a request for bicycles from De Montfort House veterans. Some of the veterans who live there wanted to get some exercise during this time of sheltering in place. These lucky De Montfort House guys got bikes, helmets, locks, and a safety class thanks to The Rotary Club and St. Francis’ Episcopal parishioners.
