Christ is Risen indeed!
St Francis’ has had a very busy Holy Week. From Palm Sunday to Easter Sunday, we participated in nine worship services in person and on Zoom, including three choral performances, and worship in the courtyard. There were Easter baskets and hats, and Easter Brunch with familiar and new faces. The Feast of the Resurrection presents us with a reminder of God’s gift of second chances: not to repeat the past, but rather to join the prophet Isaiah in saying, “Behold, I am doing a new thing!”
Thank you to all the volunteers who made this week such a blessed event: choir and musicians, communications, altar guild, hospitality, parish life, ushers, greeters, Easter egg hunt support, altar party, teachers, buildings, finance, those who attended, and those who prayed us through the week. (There are so many that I fear I forgotten someone—my apologies!) To all who made this past week so special for us, I give my sincerest thanks.
May we live into the promise of the new as shown in resurrection of Jesus Christ, amen.
