On October 9th, our church made toys and treats for the pets living at the San Francisco Animal Care and Control shelter. We made 30 kong toys filled with pumpkin, kibble, and peanut butter, 15 braided pull toys and soft cat toys (thank you to Maryla for the fleece we used to make these!). These items are so valuable for the socialization of shelter animals with volunteers, who provide them with affection and training, helping them adjust to interacting with people so that they can all find good homes.
If you ever have pet items and equipment to spare, please donate them to Animal Care and Control! The ACC is located at 1419 Bryant, near Costco.
